The forest is calling, and Ciarán can feel it in his chest — a gentle tug, like an invisible thread pulling him forward. A sound drifts through the trees — soft, like pages turning in the wind. Ciarán holds his breath and listens. The ancient oaks around him creak and groan, their branches swaying even though there is no breeze. Sunlight breaks through the canopy in golden beams, lighting up a trail he has never seen before. The stones beneath his feet are smooth and warm, as if someone — or something — has been waiting for him. His heart pounds. Every step takes him deeper. The whispering grows louder now, wrapping around him like a song without words. Then, between two towering trees draped in silver lichen, he sees it: a wooden sign, half-hidden by ivy, with letters that glow faintly green. It reads: *Only the brave may continue.* Ciarán swallows hard, squares his shoulders, and walks on.
