Ruby at the Dentist

Ruby stands in front of a big glass door. Inside, the walls are painted bright yellow, and a friendly fish tank bubbles softly in the corner. Blue and orange fish swim in lazy circles. Ruby squeezes her mama's hand and takes one small step forward. "Welcome, Ruby!" says a woman behind the desk. She has a warm smile and a sticker on her shirt shaped like a tiny tooth. "We've been waiting for you!" Ruby's tummy feels a little fluttery, like butterflies are dancing inside. She peeks around the corner and sees a special chair — it's big and purple and looks like a spaceship. It goes up and down with a gentle hum. "Would you like to ride in the magic chair?" asks Dr. Sam, kneeling down so her eyes meet Ruby's. She wears sparkly glasses and holds a tiny mirror that glitters under the bright light. Ruby looks at the mirror. She looks at the chair. Slowly, a smile spreads across her face. She climbs up, and the chair begins to rise...
